State Farm Is Ready To Fix Any 'Nightmare'

"Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there." The jingle was written by Barry Manilow in the early 1970s – and the tagline endures.

Now, it's center stage in the insurance company's newest spot – "Nightmare" – which continues its "Right Kind of Magic" campaign.

Created by Highdive, this is the brand's biggest campaign push in three years.

In the ad, a couple surveys damage to their home from a fallen tree, noting: “This is a nightmare.”  Suddenly, a creature pops up, reminding them of the difference between a real nightmare and the need for insurance. He tells them to sing the famed jingle – and an agent magically appears.

The new work runs on linear television, Meta, Twitter and Snap.

“As we turn from summer to fall with an eye to Halloween, this spot will resonate with those  who have felt like we're dealing with a nightmare situation when, in fact, we just need to call our State Farm agent for help,” Chad Broude, co-chief creative officer at Highdive, told Agency Daily.

Highdive's client work includes Jeep, Mentos, Airheads and the NHL.
