Malone, Peyton, Gillis Play 'Big Men on Cul-De-Sac' For Bud Light

Many a 30-, 40-, and 50-something and beyond man has fondly remembered being the “Big Man on Campus (BMOC);” the guy that gets the girl and the car, during high school or college (even if only in their own minds). Now according to Bud Light’s new Super Bowl spot, they can remain the legend they think they once were, by trading in the campus for the cul-de-sac.

The official beer sponsor of the NFL released its 60-second spot for this year’s Super Bowl this week, featuring musician Post Malone, comedian Shane Gillis and NFL Hall of Famer Peyton Manning.

The three men are now collectively known as the BMOC, “Big Men on Cul-De-Sac," who arrive prepared with plenty of Bud Light and youthful hijinks to any party in the immediate neighborhood.

The ad opens on Malone and Gillis in lawn chairs drinking beer in a suburban yard. Once alerted to jorts-wearing neighbor’s (Manning’s) backyard BBQ, the duo springs into action, inviting neighbors via leaf blowers which somehow shoot beer cans to their homes inscribed with the invite to the party. Malone brings an oversized cooler of Bud Light attached to his bike. Gillis brings a BBQ that also cuts grass. Or a lawnmower that also BBQs -- or both. A good time is had by all.

"We're celebrating the neighbors that can turn up a party and are always on-hand to lend a few cold ones when your cooler runs dry," said Todd Allen, senior vice president of marketing for Bud Light in the release. "We tapped three of our favorite partners in Malone, Gillis and Manning who all undoubtedly deliver BMOC energy in their everyday lives and shared it on screen in hilarious fashion.”

Bud Light is also sponsoring a live concert with Malone in New Orleans during Super Bowl weekend on Feb 7. And fans 21 and over can enter to win $10,000 and a “suite of Bud Light gear” by commenting #BMOCYourBlock and #Sweepstakes on Bud Light's dedicated post on Instagram.
