Super Bowl Sets New Record: 128M

Super Bowl TV viewing rose slightly to another record this year -- 3% -- to 127.7 million viewers, according to Fox Corp. and Nielsen data.

For “Super Bowl LIX”  these results -- which include data from Nielsen Fast Nationals and Tubi/NFL First Party Analytics -- are across platforms, the Fox Television Network, Fox Deportes, Tubi, Telemundo and NFL digital properties.

A year ago there were 123.4 million viewers for “Super Bowl LVIII” on the CBS Television Network, Nickelodeon, Paramount+, Univision, CBS Sports and NFL digital platforms.

The Fox Television Network posted 111.2 million viewers, down 8% from CBS Television Network's 120.3 million a year ago, per Nielsen. CBS Television Network viewership a year ago was the most ever for a single TV network for the Super Bowl.

The "Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show" featuring Kendrick Lamar pulled in 133.5 million viewers across all platforms -- a new record. This was also up 3% from the year-ago halftime show, which came in at 129.3 million.

The Super Bowl pre-game show earned 23.4 million viewers, with the pre-kick piece of the pre-game show (just before the game actually gets underway) at 82.5 million.

Fox says the Super Bowl this year posted a record high for streaming TV viewing of 14.6 million -- with Tubi delivering 13.6 million viewers, and NFL digital platforms contributing 900,000. On Fox Deports and Telemundo there are 1.87 million viewers

This beat the previous record of 11.2 million streaming viewing for the big game in 2022.

Viewership peaked this year at 8:00-8:15 p.m. ET to 137.7 million viewers.
