La Crema winery, the official wine of the WNBA, continues its drive to elevate women’s sports with its latest team sponsorship.
The basketball team Golden State Valkyries has named La Crema the official wine partner for its inaugural season, which began earlier this month.
"Partnering with a winery like La Crema, practically in our backyard, connects us to the rich cultural fabric that makes Northern California so special," said Golden State Valkyries President Jess Smith in the announcement. "As a women-led organization, we are deeply committed to elevating the voices of women and fostering inclusivity, and La Crema's commitment to this league and region helps us enhance that support on and off the hardwood.”
La Crema wines will be served at Valkyries co-hosted tasting events and fan experiences. The brand also has in-arena signage and will post related digital and social media content throughout the season. La Crema has also teamed up with women’s sports merch company Playa Society to create a co-branded line of Valkyries merchandise.

Last month La Crema announced it was also named a sponsor of both the WNBA’s Indiana Fever and Phoenix Mercury. The brand already has a significant tie to Indianapolis, home of the Indiana Fever, as it is located near Churchill Downs, where La Crema has been the official wine sponsor of the Kentucky Derby since 2020.
The 2025 AT&T WNBA All-Star Weekend takes place in Indianapolis this year from July 18-19, during which La Crema will hold activations at the weekend fan fest event, WNBA Live.
"Our partnership with the Indiana Fever (and) Phoenix Mercury reflect our shared commitment to community, empowerment and elevating the voices of women in sports,” said Hailey Jackson Hartford Murray, co-proprietor of La Crema in April’s announcement. “We can't wait to 'raise a glass' and celebrate the moments that make this league so special."
