Newsweek has
acquired Adprime, a healthcare-related advertising platform, as part of a strategy to expand its vertical capabilities.
The terms were not
disclosed.
Adprime helps pharmaceutical and healthcare brands reach consumers and providers through targeted digital campaigns.
The company offers
managed service and programmatic execution in addition to a healthcare data platform, endemic content formats and a curated private exchange.
Adprime will continue to operate independently as
Adprime by Newsweek during the initial integration period. Rafal Chachura will serve as the CTO and interim head of Adprime, with support from Newsweek’s leadership
team.
"This is part of our thoughtful approach to expand and diversify our business," said Dev Pragad, owner and CEO of Newsweek. "We are building a health
vertical that spans editorial, rankings, events, subscriptions, and now, advertising. Adprime is a powerful addition that rounds out that offering."

Adprime provides
condition and diagnosis-related content, protecting privacy with anonymized data and selective geographic restrictions, Newsweek says. The firm has recently made investments in
performance CTV.
“Adprime was built to make healthcare marketing more effective and more respectful,” Chachura says. “Joining Newsweek allows us to scale that vision
dramatically while staying true to our mission.”
