The marketing of the Trump Administration keeps rolling. But not so much in prime time.
Don't expect to see much coverage of the tank-rolling Trump military parade on Saturday on major TV broadcast networks.
Where to watch it? Streaming -- but only on a limited basis.
Expect some “special" coverage on NBC’s streaming news platform NBC News Now. CBS news and ABC news streamers and digital platforms will program similar abbreviated coverage, expected to feature heavy video coverage of tanks and planes.
For its part, the conservative-leaning cable TV news network Fox News Channel will do the most -- committing four hours of coverage.
Why are the broadcast networks putting up a wall on the Trump Administration's model-like tank walk in Washington, DC? Well, that’s not where the advertising or viewer interest is -- a weekend day where mostly high-profile sports programming resides.

NBC Television Network is airing the major golf tournament -- the U.S. Open. ABC Television Network will air the United Football League (UFL) championship game in primetime on Saturday night. The Fox Television Network will also go with sports -- airing Major League Baseball on Saturday night.
CBS Television Network will air news and a repeat screening of the police-based comedy/drama “Elsbeth.”
Perhaps current consumer sentiment figures into all these moves, pushing the relegation of the parade to smaller channels.
A poll by Associated Press-NORC Center For Public Affairs Research, conducted from June 5-9, shows that 60% of about 1158 U.S. adults either disapprove or have no opinion on the event, while 40% strongly approve or approve of the event.
Estimates of the parade for the cost-conscious, according to the Trump Administration, are around $45 million, according to military official estimates.
The event coincides with the 79th birthday of President Trump, who loves to play golf, especially on previous birthdays in recent years.
Perhaps the President can hit a few early morning driving range-style golf balls. Some putting, maybe?
Interesting that CBS, which is sacrificing journalism at 60.Minutes to curry favor with the administration to get approval for a multibillion dollar merger, chooses an Elsbeth rerun over the parade. They must really think the parade is programming suicide.
I have no interest in watching the parade happy birthday to the Military 250 years old.
