"Gossip Girl"
stars Blake Lively and Zuzanna Szadkowski, who played her maid Dorota, reunite in a
76-second spot to enjoy Betty Booze, a
canned cocktail by Lively's beverage brand.
The Maximum Effort creative blurs the line between fiction and reality. Viewers assume they are about to share gossip, but instead, they share tea:
Betty Booze vodka iced tea with Meyer lemonade. The plus for "Gossip" fans: They stay in character. Even when Lively questions her friend's new American accent. "Allergies," she replies.
The
spot, directed by Oren Brimer, runs across social and digital channels. It introduces Betty Booze's new lineup, including Betty Booze Passion Fruit.
"Balanced, crisp, nothing
artificial," Szadkowski says as she pours her cocktail into a teacup. Lively adds: "Which is hard to find around these parts."
