PNC Bank is putting a modern twist on timeless financial wisdom – with a little help from Benjamin Franklin himself.
Benjamin Franklin had a lot to say about money and he was instrumental in the use of paper currency in the U.S. His quotes on finance are legion, including “Waste neither time nor money, but make the best use of both.”
PNC Bank is running “Brilliant Ben Franklinisms” across its paid and organic social channels, including Instagram. The creative is part of the bank’s ongoing “Brilliantly Boring” brand platform, which debuted in 2024, and illustrates how the bank’s reliable, responsible approach delivers solid outcomes for customers.

Produced by AOR Arnold, the campaign features an animated Ben Franklin offering practical monetary advice, such as protecting your nest egg and the value of budgets. The spots are On Trees, Marry Rich and Budget.
“There’s a lot of risky money advice filling our feeds these days,” said James Bray, executive creative director, Arnold. “Fortunately, there’s a brilliant American mind who knows a thing or two about being smart and responsible, and he’s volunteered to set the record straight.”
