Email, which has long relied on tricks that were used by
direct mailers 100 years ago, has returned the favor: Direct mail senders are now sending trigger-based mailings.
PostcardMania has launched a native direct-mail tool
called PCM Integrations in partnership with the home-service software provider Jobber.
This particular product serves Jobber’s users — ie, landscapers,
electricians, HVAC technicians, and plumbers, to automate postcard and letter mailings.
What can they do with it? For one, they might send letter or postcard mailings to new homeowners in
their area, or to homes within a radius surrounding current job sites.
These automated mailings can help small home-service businesses improve their marketing and drive revenue without
additional workload, the company says.
These small businesses can select the geographic area they want to reach, customize their design, choose the timing, and set their budget.
Postcards can then be automatically mailed daily to new movers who fit the target criteria.
Research shows that half of new homeowners chose the business that reaches them
first.
"Small business owners are busier than ever, and breaking through crowded inboxes is a real challenge," says Sam Pillar, co-founder and CEO of Jobber. "By
adding postcard marketing to Jobber's suite of tools, we're helping our customers get more out of their marketing efforts.”
Next time, try an email, too.
