Educational content creators based in the U.S. will
be able to apply to Pinterest’s new “Educator’s Fund,” an offshoot of the platform’s “Pinterest for Teacher’s” initiative, from now through September
26.
According to Pinterest, the Educator’s Fund will provide creators focused on making educational content
for teachers and students across the U.S. with access to webinar lessons on the platform’s best practices, as well as the ability to connect directly with top Pinterest experts during
“office hours.”
“Select participants will also be eligible to earn a grant to further support their content growth
on Pinterest,” the company says.

The cash grants will be limited to a total of 20 creators and the amounts have yet to be disclosed.
The fund stems from
Pinterest for Teachers, an on-platform hub for educators who are seeking tools and resources to help support their approach to guiding their students.
Right now, the “Pinterest for Educators” community board has over 548,000 pins organized across 16 categories, such as
“Classroom Ideas,” “Middle School,” and “Children’s Books.”
The push to support more educational content on Pinterest
follows the company’s ongoing mission to spread positivity on
the platform, while also attempting to help teens perform better in school.
For example, the company recently announced prompts designed to stop teens from using its
app during school hours.
This year, Pinterest also pledged $1 million dollars to the International Society for
Technology in Education (ISTE) to “support school leaders in creating a healthy digital culture in their schools.”
