Nick Maschmeyer has come onboard creative agency
America Haiku as head of strategy.
He reports to American Haiku’s Chief Creative Officer Thom Glover.
“Nick represents everything American Haiku is all about: modern
thinking, cultural fluency, and deep creative partnership,” said Glover. “He understands how to take brands from a position of chasing culture to actually shaping it.”
Previously, Maschmeyer spent a decade at Droga5, working with The New York Times, Netflix and Levi's. In 2021, he helped establish Droga5 São Paulo, the first company office in
Latin America.
He joins an agency filled with several Droga5 alums, including Glover, CEO Jessica Kingsbery and Christine DiStasio, head of operations.
“The team at American
Haiku represents the best of the best,” said Maschmeyer. “We’re building something different, modeled for today but, importantly, for the future.”
Founded in 2024 by
Emmy-nominated writer-director Glover (“Skate Nation Ghana”), the agency's clients include New Balance, Yahoo and JPMorgan Chase.
