General Motors’ GMC division
has teamed up with YouTube’s Good Good Golf to launch “The Great American Golf Adventure.”
The off-road golf journey and content series features the
all-electric GMC Sierra EV AT4 pickup truck as the world’s most capable golf cart.
Six Good Good creators embark on a three vs. three golf match played across five
custom-designed holes in Cody, Wyoming.
The series follows the golfers as they play the most rugged round of golf imaginable, teeing off from a custom platform built into the bed of
the pickup truck.
The course requires players to chase down shots across wilderness terrain, and navigate to new hole locations using the truck’s off-road
capabilities.
The entire journey, including holes over 1,300 yards long, is completed on a single charge, highlighting the the EV’s range, performance and comfort.

The campaign was created and produced by the branded content company Portal A. The effort includes social teasers, trick-shot videos, long-form hero YouTube content and
behind-the-scenes content.
The partnership continues offline with a live activation at SoFi Stadium in Palm Beach this November, where GMC and Good Good will host fans in a dedicated “GMC
Fan Village.”
The campaign kicked off in early October, and is being rolled out in phases: real-time content hyping up the challenge, then short-form cutdowns and high-impact
visuals leading up to the launch, all culminating in the hero YouTube video and brand film capturing the full adventure, according to the agency.
All of the content is
designed to engage early EV truck adopters and EV evangelists, while also tapping into Good Good’s social native fanbase: a critical demographic for the future of both golf and electric
vehicles, according to the automaker.
The partnership is much bigger than the typical boilerplate sponsorship deal, says Zach Blume, co-founder, Portal A. “We
didn’t just capture golf content or produce a truck commercial. We transformed the bed of a GMC Sierra EV into a tee box and turned Wyoming into the world’s most rugged fairway.”
