The movie was helped by a strong opening-night audience market, with an "A-" CinemaScore, and had high critics' marks, with 95%
positive reviews from Rotten Tomatoes.
Globally, the movie posted $80 million -- the strongest opening for the “Predator” franchise.
For this version of "Predator," 20th
Century Studios had a modest $9.3 million in estimated national TV advertising spend on 1,880 airings, pulling in 1.1 billion impressions.
Some also-rans were movies already in release:
Paramount Pictures' "Regretting You" with ($7.1 million) in its third week, and Universal Pictures' "Black Phone 2" with $5.3 million for its fourth week.
New movies for the weekend include
Amazon MGM Studios’ “Sarah’s Oil” ($4.5 million) and Sony Pictures Classics' "Nuremberg" ($4.1 million).

national TV ad spending, according to EDO Ad EnGage, are: Universal’s “Jurassic World Rebirth” ($34 million); Paramount’s “Mission: Impossible -- The Final
Reckoning” ($27.7 million), Universal’s “How To Train Your Dragon” ($27.5 million), Walt Disney’s “Captain America: Brave New World” ($22.8 million), and
Warner Bros.’ “Superman” ($22.1 million).
The strongest domestic box-office revenue results so far in 2025, per Box Office Mojo, are Warner Bros. “A Minecraft Movie" at
$423.9 million, followed by Walt Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch” ($423.8 million, Warner Bros.' “Superman” ($354.2 million, Universal’s “Jurassic World:
Rebirth” ($339.6 million), and Warner Bros.' “Sinners” ($274.3 million).
