Samsung TV Plus Tops 100M Monthly Active Users

Samsung TV Plus -- the smart TV operating platform -- now has more than 100 million monthly active users (MAUs) across Samsung TV, Samsung Galaxy phones, XR headsets, Galaxy Tab, Smart Monitor and Family Hub platforms.

In late 2024, Samsung said it had 88 million MAUs.

Samsung's streaming hours have increased 25% over 2025. The company did not provide further details.

Samsung credits live events and new interactive fan experiences, and says that after three months of use by consumers it has a "loyalty" rate of 92%.

Samsung TV Plus currently has over 4,300 streaming channels -- all for free -- available across 30 countries.

In the U.S., it has more than 700 (Free Ad-Supported). The platform also offers video-on-demand.

Some of the biggest individual FAST channels, according to estimates from MoffettNathanson Research, are as follows: The Roku Channel, which climbed to $1.42 billion in advertising revenue in 2025 ($1.17 billion in 2024); Tubi, with $1.23 billion ($940 million); and Roku, at $1.04 billion ($1.04 billion).

This number must surely be overstating audience size. Anyone that has ever used a Samsung Smart TV knows that by simply connecting it to Wifi and turning on the power, it will automatically open and tune to Samsung's built-in FAST. There used to be ways to delete or remove the app, or to default open to another app, but those have all been removed via system updates. If those "power ons" are treated as viewers or counted in any concept of audience, they are not really counting viewers, they are instead counting owners of Samsung hardware, which is very different to advertisers.
