
Thirty years ago, the original
“Pepsi Stuff” Super Bowl commercial aired. The pitch: collect 7 million Pepsi Points and win a Harrier Fighter Jet. John Leonard took on the challenge and gained the points. But he never
got the jet — and he lost Leonard v. Pepsico, Inc. lawsuit trying to claim it.
But in this year's Super Bowl spot, “The Big
Redemption,” created by BarkleyOKRP, Frontier Airlines has revisited the offer.
In a new ad featuring Leonard, he comes full circle. Frontier Airlines has redeemed Leonard's
original 7 million points for 7 million miles on Frontier — enough to fly free for the rest of his life.
The 40-second spot is here and the 60-second spot here. The creative runs on Frontier's socials
in conjunction with the Super Bowl.

Leonard is not the only passenger who can
enjoy Frontier's generosity. Through Feb 22, consumers can swap unused reward points from other brands and receive up to 5,000 free miles on Frontier — enough for certain award flights.
