Maker’s Mark is bringing its ongoing
“Perfectly Unreasonable” global campaign to life with a series of one-night-only pop-up experiences.
Premiering at the summit of Aspen Mountain during the recent 2026 Food &
Wine Classic, the Perfectly Unreasonable Bar series will “bring elevated bourbon hospitality to extraordinary locations where the setting becomes part of the occasion itself,” according to
the company.
In the inaugural Aspen pop-up, guests reached the mountain top bar location by gondola, arriving to cocktails and music from DJ Ryan Golbus, as well as experiencing an interactive
whisky sour service at the one-of-a-kind bar, which was located 11,212 feet above sea level. The resulting specialty cocktail, the Summit Sour, featured Maker's Mark bourbon fat-washed with cocoa
butter, blended with local strawberry, and a malted wheat and honey syrup, served on nitro draft.

“Maker's Mark has always believed that the best bourbon experiences are the ones
people talk about long after the last pour,” said Regan Clarke, vice president of American Whiskey, Suntory Global Spirits, in a release. “With the Perfectly Unreasonable Bar, we brought
Maker's Mark into culture in a way that felt immersive, elevated and distinctly unexpected — transforming an extraordinary setting in Aspen into an unforgettable bourbon moment.”
Also during the 2026 Food & Wine Classic, Marker’s Mark hosted “sensory bourbon tasting” inside the Grand Tasting Pavilion, which was paired with food by chef and creator Owen
Han.
Future Maker’s Mark Perfectly Unreasonable Bar pop-up locations will be announced via the brand’s social media platforms. Consumers can also join the brand’s ambassador
program here, which grants members early access to upcoming VIP events and product releases, as well as behind-the-scenes content from national historic
landmark Star Hill Farm, the home of Marker’s Mark’s distillery.
