Independent OOH agency Talon has acquired PJX Media, a move that Talon said
makes it the largest independent OOH specialist in the U.S. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
Talon was founded in the UK and expanded to the US in 2018. It’s been making
acquisitions and striking other deals to expand its footprint here ever since.

PJX was founded by John Laramie and Josh Warrum a decade or so ago, after the duo developed a software platform
called ADstruc in 2010 that was designed to automate the out-of-home planning and buying process by tracking ad inventory in the sector nationwide. PJX sold the ADstruc platform in 2024 to Vistar,
which has licensed it to OOH buyers and sellers around the country.
Talon declined to disclose billings for its US operation, or those of PJX and its claim that the deal makes it the top
independent OOH agency in the country could not be confirmed by outside sources.
It also said that the agreement makes it the top indie OOH agency by client count in the US with 400 clients (450
in all of North America). Specific clients aren’t disclosed.
PJX will continue to operate as a separate agency under the new ownership to preserve continuity in relationships, service and
day-to-day ways of working for clients and partners, the companies said. PJX will gain access to Talon’s broader programmatic, technology, data and effectiveness capabilities.
Current PJX
CEO Rick Robinson will continue to lead the agency reporting to Ryan Laul, CEO, Talon North America. Robinson succeeded Laramie as CEO in 2022.
Sue Frogley, Global CEO at Talon, said: "This is an
important step for Talon and a strong signal of our continued commitment to the US market. PJX is a highly respected business with a strong team, a great reputation and a very complementary offer.
Together, we are creating a stronger platform for clients, partners and future growth."
