Universal Pictures' “The Odyssey”
rocketed to another big weekend with $87 million in domestic revenues, according to estimates from Comscore.
The second week of the Christopher Nolan-directed film
claimed one of the strongest second weekends for an R-rated movie, with no major studio wide-release film openings in the most recent weekend.
This follows up its
leading $123.5 million opening of a week ago -- the biggest weekend opening for any movie so far in 2026. The movie’s box-office revenue declined just 30% week-over-week -- a very low
week-to-week decline.
In each of the seven-day periods, “The Odyssey” pulled in double the number of advertising impressions versus the next-highest
ad-spending films. In the most recent week, this amounted to 349.8 million impressions while during the previous week the movie tallied 430.1 million impressions.
