Second Act: De Caluwe Rejoins Instrument As Chief Creative Officer

Jack De Caluwé is back — at Instrument.

This incarnation he joins the agency as Chief Creative Officer. Most recently, he was executive creative director at R/GA.

The digital-design agency has tapped De Caluwé to lead Instrument’s creative work across brand, product, digital experiences, campaigns and emerging technology.

The former now current staffer has led creative for blue-chip brands such as Nike, Apple, The New York Times and Netflix.

De Caluwé says: “We’re in one of those rare moments where the canvas is being stretched in every direction. Technology is opening up new ways to make things, culture is evolving in real time, and creativity has never had more room to surprise people. I wanted to be somewhere that sees that as an invitation rather than a disruption.”

Instrument does work for Google, OURA and Spotify.

Laurel Burton, CEO of Instrument, called her new CCO “a force multiplier for ingenuity and innovation, always pushing beyond familiar patterns to create space for unexpected ideas.”
