Stagwell Names Rutgersson Assembly CEO


Stagwell has appointed Liz Rutgersson CEO of its flagship media agency Assembly. She will oversee both the global operation and the North America region, reporting to Slavi Samardzija, Global Chair of Media & Commerce. 

Rutgersson succeeds Rick Acampora who is developing a new corporate trade and barter company at Stagwell called Tradewell Solutions.  The company is expected to provide more details on the new entity later in the year.

Rutgersson joins Assembly after 16 years at Dentsu, most recently serving as CEO of iProspect North America for the past three years. She has worked with brands including Hilton, eBay, Salesforce, Ferrero, Dollar General and Tesco. 

Assembly also said that Connie Chan is adding the role of CEO of Assembly APAC while continuing as Chief Growth Officer of Stagwell APAC, effective immediately.
