The PGA of America has named Marissa
Bataille Daly its CMO.
Daly joins the organization from the Los Angeles Rams, where she most recently served as senior vice president, studios and marketing. She will report to
PGA of America CEO Terry Clark, beginning Oct. 5.
She brings nearly two decades of experience building sports brands, engaging audiences and creating memorable experiences for
audiences across live events, digital platforms and original content.
The PGA of America is one of the world’s largest sports organizations, composed of more than 30,000 PGA
of America golf professionals.
The organization did not have a direct, standalone CMO immediately prior to Daly. Instead, marketing, media, and interactive teams were overseen
by Jeff Price, who served as the first chief commercial officer starting in 2014. The organization went through an executive shakeup over the last 14 months, including Price leaving in
January.

Daly knows how to turn a strong sports brand into an experience that connects with people, says Clark, who was appointed CEO in February.
“She has led talented teams, created memorable game days and found new ways to engage audiences before, during and after major events,” Clark says.
She will
help tell members’ stories, reaching more golfers and audiences, and make the group’s championships even more compelling, he adds.
Daly will lead the PGA of
America’s brand, marketing, social and content functions. She will work to elevate PGA of America golf professionals, strengthen the PGA of America brand and expand audience engagement.
“Our members welcome people to golf, help them improve and give them reasons to keep playing,” Daly says. “They lead facilities, strengthen communities and drive the
game’s continued growth. Our championships showcase the best of golf and help fuel our mission to support our members.”
At the Los Angeles Rams, Daly built and led a
50-person organization spanning creative, production, digital marketing, game presentation, and social and influencer strategy.
Daly also led marketing and brand execution
surrounding six Rams playoff campaigns, including two Super Bowl runs, and executive-produced original content ranging from documentary series to short-form and branded programming.
Before joining the Rams, Daly spent several years at Yahoo Sports, where she held progressively senior positions in product and sports marketing. Her work included major NFL and global
sports initiatives, audience-growth programs, partnerships and new product launches.
