• Steve Bannon Was Registered To Vote In 2 States
    President Donald Trump has been harping on his belief that million of people voted illegally in 2016. One of his main arguments is that many people are registered to vote in two states, thereby committing voter fraud. One of those “illegal” voters is now in the White House. Until this week, Donald Trump’s senior counselor and chief strategist Steve Bannon was registered to vote in both New York and Florida.

    In an ominous sign for American foreign policy, the entire senior management team at the State Department has resigned. Presumptive Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s job will be significantly more difficult without experienced personnel. His lack of government experience is an additional concern, since, as CEO of Exxon, he has pursued measures at odds with official U.S. policy.

  • Trump Names 2 Breitbart Reporters To Administration
    Donald Trump named two Breitbart staffers to his administration, tightening the bond with the alt-right news outlet. Julia Hahn covered immigration issues through an aggressively anti-immigration lens, has been named special assistant to the president. Sebastian Gorka, the site's national security editor and a policy consultant on Trump's presidential campaign, has joined the White House in a yet-to-be-announced role. Hahn gained notoriety at Breitbart for attacking Ryan on immigration policy. In December 2015, she and Bannon co-authored an article titled "Paul Ryan Betrays America."

    Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Paul Ryan has invited President Donald Trump to speak to a joint session of Congress on February 28. This speech won’t serve as a State of the Union address, which will happen out the beginning of next year. Instead, it will be an address to the nation about President Trump’s vision for the country.

    In an ominous sign of what may happen on the domestic front, one of the first moves by the Trump administration was to resurrect a funding ban on groups that provide abortions overseas. A day after the 44th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Trump reinstated the Republican policy known as the “Mexico City policy,” or the “global gag rule” that would prohibit any federal aid to foreign organizations that provide or promote abortion.
