Ocean Spray, which is launching a cross-country mobile sampling tour, will employ SnapTags on the advertising materials used at the state fairs, festivals and other events where the tour will
stop, according to the two companies.
The SnapTags -- 2D mobile barcodes with logos at their centers -- will enable people to photograph them to get immediate digital access to Ocean
Spray recipes.
The brand used the tags last summer in an ad in Everyday Food magazine. The ad ranked among Starch Advertising Research's top 10 in national magazines (May through
August 2010) in terms of engaging and motivating consumers to take action, Ocean Spray reports.
