Ford First With Spotify

Ford's got Spotify. The automaker has made the online music-streaming service compatible with its Ford SYNC AppLink platform. Ford says the integration with Spotify is the company’s first direct collaboration with an automotive manufacturer. Over 1 million Ford vehicles in North America are now equipped with SYNC AppLink, which lets drivers use smartphone apps by voice control.

The company says Spotify’s built-in social sharing capabilities work in cars. When the Spotify app is connected and running, if a friend sends a track, album, artist or playlist to your inbox, the car will read it aloud.
