Steve Minichini, a partner and president, Interactive Marketing at MDC Partners’ TargetCast, is taking on the new role of Chief Innovation and
Growth Officer at the New York-based media shop.
Minichini has been the agency’s unofficial tech guru since he merged his digital shop
Triumph360 with TargetCast back in 2010. He’s overseen the development of the shop’s more important tech platforms such as BrandScoreCard, an API-enabled metrics and optimization dashboard
and TargetDCV, the agency’s creative versioning application.
Now he will focus full-time on identifying business opportunities and new
technologies and capabilities designed to advance client strategies and growth. Phil Sloan, who has been the number two interactive marketing executive at the agency, will now lead that discipline as
SVP.

Minichini said his efforts could result in the shop incubating start-ups or entering joint ventures with partners that have start-up
advertising and media technologies. “Anything is a possibility,” he said, noting that he has a huge interest in exploring and identifying innovative technologies that can benefit
clients.
And he stressed that TargetCast would continue to develop technology in-house as well. “Our feeling is for almost any client problem
there is a technological solution,” he said.
