Out-of-home media shops Billups Worldwide and Strategic Outdoor Shop have merged, the firms said Monday.
Terms weren’t disclosed but the companies said they’d operate the combined group under the name Billups starting January 1, 2014.
Founded in 2003, Billups, based in Portland, Ore., has offices in 13 U.S. cities while SOS has offices in New York and San Francisco.
Ben Billups, CEO Billups Worldwide will remain CEO of the merged operation while SOS president Jason Kiefer will become COO of Billups.
To continue growing, said Billups, “We needed a strong Northeast presence.”
Kiefer said the two agencies share similar attributes including flexibility, nimbleness and a core strength of “client service.”
The operation will have around 80 staffers nationwide.
Clients include 76, Radisson, Boost Mobile and Absolut.
