Random iPhone App
of the week: Have you ever wondered what color your favorite song would translate into? There’s an app for that. Dutch Boy Group, one of the Sherwin-Williams Paint and Sundries
Brands, launched a music-to-color matching app, called PaintList by Dutch Boy. The app targets Millennials with music to pique their interest in something they otherwise would have little
interest in: paint. PaintList scans a song or playlist of your choice and then matches the music against a database to determine its genre and mood, then suggests three different color palettes you
might enjoy. There are 15 million songs in PainList’s database, so chances are they have your favorite tune on file. Palettes can be emailed, tweeted or posted to Facebook. Users can also bypass
the song-identification feature and just describe a genre, mood or tempo to match palettes to. The app, created by Marcus Thomas, is available for free in the App Store.
