Two ad agency vets have founded a new
marketing and communications agency: Straight Up.
The brainchild of Shelley Frosdick and David Schulhof, the London shop’s current clients include Hipp Organic (baby formula),
Inivos (medtech) and Health Spaces. Based in London, the agency’s core offerings are marketing strategy, storytelling, data and creativity.
Before this, the two principals
held senior posts at the PHA Group, while Schulhof was also at Red Hot Penny.
“Too many businesses hire an agency on the strength of the senior people in the pitch, then never see them
again. We don’t pitch and run. We’re direct and hands-on, with no jargon, no fluff and no politics, just honest advice and the work to back it up. And we fit around the business, whether
that means stepping in as interim senior leaders or working alongside an existing team as consultants,” Schulhof told Out to Launch.
The focus is building long-term
relationships with a clear campaign plan for success.
In addition, the agency has created a Straight Up, Step Up initiative, geared to young talent. Each year-long paid placement will include
mentoring, training and working with clients. The goal is to nurture future ad leaders.
