Bounce TV Revamps Ad Sales Team

Over-the-air digital TV network Bounce TV, the African-American viewer-targeted channel, has made some senior advertising executive changes.

Bounce, which now reaches over 70% of U.S. TV households through local multicast TV digital signals, has promoted Elverage Allen to executive vice president of advertising sales, reporting to Jonathan Katz, COO of Bounce TV.

Allen most recently ran Bounce TV’s central division sales office in Chicago. Before Bounce, Allen held senior executive positions at TV One and BET.

Also, Sean Woodle has been named vice president of advertising sales, West Coast. Woodle had been at ESPN for eight years at ESPN, working on the network’s multicultural sales team. He also had been at BET. Erick Asenjo, who comes from a senior executive position at TV One, has also been hired as vice president of ad sales, based in New York.

Ex-USA Network executive Gary Saginario has been promoted to director, ad sales from account executive. Former BET staff member Winnie Bernier comes to Bounce TV as an account executive.

Bounce TV said Marathon Ventures, headed by David Brenner, will continue to be responsible for all of the network’s direct-response advertising.

Through multicast local TV digital deals, Bounce TV can be seen in 88 markets, including all of the top African-American television markets; 89% of African-American television homes; and 72% of the total television homes in the United States.

Recently, Univision expanded its agreement to carry Bounce TV as a multicast channel on its stations in five major markets: New York City, Los Angeles, Dallas, Orlando and Phoenix in 2015. This adds to previous markets in San Francisco, Boston, Miami, Denver, Sacramento, Raleigh and Tampa
