Rocket Fuel on Tuesday
announced it has partnered with three major online video inventory providers in LiveRail, SpotXchange, and Tremor Video.
These integrations give Rocket Fuel and its clients access to large amounts of online video inventory, particularly pre-roll content. Per a release, Rocket Fuel clients will have access to this new pool of inventory immediately.
The company appears to be beefing up its online video ad offering in a bid to attract brand marketers to online advertising and programmatic media-buying.
“Brand marketers love video ads,” stated Rocket Fuel’s SVP of Product and Business Development Simon Hayhurst, “and Big Data loves video too.”
In their respective statements, SpotXchange CEO Mike Shehan and LiveRail CEO
Mark Trefgarne also put the spotlight on brand marketers. Shehan claimed that video is the “preferred medium for brand advertisers” -- a school of thought that is shared by many in the
industry.
“We’ve seen online video spending increase across all devices, including desktop, mobile, OTT set-top boxes, gaming consoles and connected televisions, solidifying
that brand marketers are embracing and recognizing its impact," Troels Smit, VP of demand sales at LiveRail, told RTM Daily.
Rocket Fuel is already integrated with some of the
other big names in online video, including AOL’s Adap.tv, BrightRoll and Google DoubleClick AdX.
