ISBA, the association for British advertising, is to advise advertisers on tightening contracts with agency trading desks to own the campaign data they fear could be accessed by
competitors. A series of “Contract Clauses’ will be released in September, encouraging members to make the ownership of data clear to media agencies. First-party
data will be covered by the guidelines alongside quality and the availability of data to support real-time targeting and optimisation.
