Marriott International is extendi
ng its #LoveTravels campaign. The effort includes a video series featuring celebrities Tim Howard and Angela Simmons.
The videos show soccer
star Howard and cultural icon Simmons sharing their individual experiences and personal passions surrounding travel. Howard reveals how he engages in his true passions of soccer, eclectic music and
body art through his travels. Simmons gives an inside look at how she finds inspiration for fashion design wherever she goes.
The original-content video series launches alongside images
presented in an online portrait gallery and display ads.
The portraits and digital videos also feature chef Mia Banducci, Dutch model Anouschka Dap and founder and CEO of MIMA Media Christoph
Geiseler.
Consumers are encouraged to post what the #LoveTravels hashtag means to them on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
The hashtag is Marriott’s way of encouraging
travelers to share their travel experiences, said Kristine Friend, senior director, segment marketing.
“#LoveTravels is a universal movement that truly represents our commitment to
providing each guest with a unique experience across our portfolio of hotels where they feel welcome and comfortable and can pursue their personal passions,” Friend said in a release.
The
hotel company is promoting the effort at LoveTravelsWithMe.com and on its YouTube channel.
The effort also includes a contest where consumers can win a grand prize of $2,000 and weekly prizes
of $500. Through Sept. 16, travelers can share how their #LoveTravels by posting a picture of their journeys on Instagram. To enter the contest, participants must use #LoveTravels #Promo
