DigitasLBi Acquires Adobe Specialist 3|Share

Last month, Publicis Groupe announced a strategic partnership with Adobe to deliver the Publicis Groupe Always-On Platform, its first end-to-end marketing management platform to automate and connect all components of a client’s marketing efforts.

At the time, Maurice Levy, chairman and CEO of Publicis Groupe, said he believed the deal would solve "a core marketing dilemma" for clients, and called the agency the first holding company to "offer clients an integrated set of digital marketing solutions across all key marketing and creative agencies."

Now, Publicis' DigitasLBi is acquiring an Abode Marketing specialist, 3|Share to help deliver and manage Adobe technology platforms and solutions for these clients. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

3|Share will operate as part of DigitasLBi--essentially the agency will be bolted to DigitasLBi as its Adobe solutions training and execution expert.

Jess Moore, CEO and Co-founder of 3|Share, will report to Paolo Yuvienco, Global Chief Technology Officer, DigitasLBi, while 3|Share’s core management team, including Rich Brown, CTO and Co-Founder, will continue in their current roles.

“3|Share adds depth to digital marketing and deployment via their advanced Adobe solutions expertise," says Tony Weisman, CEO, DigitasLBi North America. "They are a superb complement to our robust platform and product offering, fueled by creativity and technology.”

This deal is about specialized knowledge. DigitasLBi executives believe that 75% of clients — either in slices or full on suites — are on the Adobe Digital Marketing stack. Hence, having deployment experts in house gives the agency the credibility and ability to now build “whole” experiences tethering the different product lanes, such as social, campaign, and tracking, together.

Founded in 2011 by Jess Moore and Richard Brown, the 50-staff agency specializes in consulting, training, development and remote operation management of Adobe’s digital marketing solutions.

Clients include Asics, Chevron, Honeywell, La Quinta Inns & Suites, and SAP's SuccessFactors. The agency will continue to be based in San Diego, California.
