As I may have mentioned before, it's ad agency holiday card season. Sometimes the "cards" are silly. Sometimes the "cards" are dumb. And sometimes the "cards" are actually meaningful and for a good
cause. That's the case this year with a holiday
card from GSD&M.
The agency hooked up with Austin-based iconic artist Daniel Johnston, who
hasn't created a mural in 20 years. Reaching out to the artist, the agency asked Johnston to create a mural that will help benefit the Austin non-profit Superhero Kids, which works towards fighting
childhood cancer.
GSD&M CCO Jay Russell says, "Cancer has hit this agency, personally, pretty hard this year. We're going to do everything we can to help fight that fight. The mural
reads: "Love is the question. Love is the answer." In addition to the mural, t-shirts will be sold to help raise money for the Superhero Kids.
