Demand-Side Targeted TV Developer Centriply To License Its Data: Eyes Political, Studios, Hedge Funds

Centriply, a promising DSP (demand-side platform) leveraging technology and data to help agencies and advertisers buy targeted TV audiences programmatically, this morning announced that it will begin licensing its proprietary data to third parties through an agreement with Venture Development Center.

The companies said the most logical parties for licensing the data would include political agencies, broadcast studios, “marketing service providers” and hedge funds.

Centriply, which is owned by Cable Scope, has deep roots in the cable TV community, which generates much of its data.

The company has developed a DSP infrastructure akin to programmatic display and mobile platforms, enabling the demand-side to target and acquire audiences based on a wide range of proprietary attributes ranging from geographic and demographic to consumer purchasing behaviors.
