SimilarWeb on Wednesday announced the appointment of Carla Bourque as chief commercial officer, a newly created position. Bourque will lead the company’s global commercial operations, including sales, customer success, marketing, and business development across the eight international offices.
Bourque, who will be based in the cross-device intelligence company’s San Francisco office, brings more than 20 years of expertise in managing enterprise software as a service (SaaS) across digital media, marketing tech, and analytics.
Prior to joining SimilarWeb, Bourque served as executive-in-residence at XSeed Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm. She began her career as a brand manager for PowerBar and subsequently held executive positions at companies specializing in innovation at the intersection of data and technology, including Buddy Media (acquired by Salesforce) and AdRelevance (acquired by comScore). As CEO of Smartify, Bourque helped transform the marketing analytics company into a scalable SaaS business.
