WPP said Wednesday that it has invested in online medical education provider
The Corpus, which is based in the UK. Terms of the investment weren’t disclosed.
The Corpus has developed an online platform to provide interactive training sessions for healthcare
practitioners.
The sessions are sponsored by pharmaceutical companies and over the next year, the platform is expected to produce around 750 training sessions covering a wide
range of medical fields from asthma to oncology.
With WPP’s investment The Corpus will work closely with the holding company’s Health & Wellness division, which consists
of Ogilvy CommonHealth, Sudler & Hennessey, ghg, CMI/Compas and WPP healthcare client teams.
WPP Health & Wellness is part of the firm’s
Branding & Identity, Healthcare and Specialist Communications group that generates about $6 billion in annual revenues.
