IPG's Carmichael Lynch Wins Phillips 66 Fuel Brands Account

Phillips 66 has selected Interpublic Group’s Carmichael Lynch as the new agency of record for its fuel brands following a creative review that began in late 2016.

The agency will handle brand strategy, creative, media planning and buying, cause marketing, analytics and digital services for the Phillips 66 fuel brands, including Phillips 66, Conoco and 76. Previously the brands had worked with Venables Bell & Partners.

“Carmichael Lynch came to the table with an understanding of our business needs, our values and our company culture,” stated Sarah Bolding, senior director of Brands for Phillips 66. “Their integrated resources produced an outstanding creative product and 360-degree plan.”

Word of the selection comes less than a week after Carmichael Lynch named a new CEO—Marcus Fisher, who joined the agency in 2013 as president.
