London- and New York-based digital marketing communications company Investis has acquired Phoenix-based ZOG Digital.
Terms were not disclosed, but ZOG -- which was founded in 2011 and specializes in search, content marketing, paid media and social marketing -- will have more than 100 employees following the acquisition.
ZOG’s roster includes Whirlpool, Fruit of the Loom, Wyndham Vacation Rentals, and Del Monte.
The deal is one of the first big U.S. acquisitions made by Investis since Don Scales joined as CEO last year, after a long run as CEO of iCrossing, stepping down after its sale to Hearst in 2013.
Noting that Investis' roots are in investor relations, Scales stated that the acquisition helps diversify the company.
