Entertainment devices are appearing as the most desired type of smart home product, according to a new study.
Devices such as wireless speakers and smart TVs emerged as the most desired, with a 23% lead over other smart products, based on the study, which comprised a survey of 15,000 U.S. internet users aged 16 to 64 conducted by Global Web Index.
The majority (59%) of consumers said they either have or plan to purchase smart home entertainment products.
Voice-controlled devices, such as Amazon Echo, Google Home and Apple HomePod, place second at 36% of consumers.
Other categories desired or owned include smart home utility products (34%), smart home security products (33%) and smart health devices (32%).
