Chase Adds Cardless Access To 15,000 ATMs

Mobile wallets continue to expand into banking, with Chase announcing that its customers can now get cash by using their phones at all of its 16,000 ATMs nationwide.

Chase customers can tap their phone to an ATM to get money with no need for a physical debit card or access code for authentication.

“Cardless no longer means cashless,” stated Sol Gindi, chief administrative officer of consumer banking at Chase. “As more of our customers are using digital wallets to pay, we’re pleased to be able to provide them with the same experience at the ATM.”

Wells Fargo also recently increased ATM mobile access, adding NFC to its 5,000 ATMs allowing customers to tap their phone for banking activity.
