MessageBird Adds Email Through Partnership With SparkPost

MessageBird, a cloud communications platform, has formed a strategic partnership with SparkPost, an email delivery and analytics provider, allowing the customers of each firm access to the other’s services.

SparkPost will provide the MessageBird platform to its clients, and MessageBird will make SparkPost’s email capabilities available to customers via its Programmable Conversations API, adding email to its menu of channels, the firms say.

The goal is to make “the world's most popular channels available via a single platform,” states Robert Vis, CEO and Founder of MessageBird.

The arrangement combines omnichannel experiences with email deliverability on a global scale, the firms say.

MessageBird has added email as to its text, voice and messaging app offerings to clients. The firm’s Programmable Conversations API unifies customer interactions across multiple channels into one conversation thread, it says.

"Businesses around the world recognize that email is an incredibly effective channel to engage, retain and convert customers,” states SparkPost CEO, Rich Harris.
