Hearst digital agency iCrossing has appointed Chris Apostle as chief media officer. He reports to global president Mike Parker and succeeds Jeff Ratner, who is leaving the
agency.
Apostle is tasked with optimizing the agency’s media operation to better drive business performance for iCrossing’s clients, such as Bridgestone, Charles
Schwab, City National Bank, Humana and Microsoft.
Apostle joins iCrossing from Havas Media Group, where he was executive vice president-head of performance. He is credited with
establishing a digital innovation lab there focused on voice assistance, visual search and a hyper-local search innovation platform.
He is also credited with developing the agency’s
eRetail/Amazon practice.
Earlier, Apostle held senior leadership positions at Ogilvy, Razorfish and R/GA.
Throughout his career, Apostle is said to have delivered
over $2 billion in integrated programs for global brands, including Ford, Kraft, MasterCard, Microsoft and Verizon.
