WPP has added Cindy Rose, CEO Microsoft UK, as a nonexecutive member of its board. Her appointment is effective April 1 and she will serve on the board’s audit committee.
WPP Chairman Roberto Quarta stated: “Cindy is one of the most admired and respected figures in the technology industry … her deep understanding of the role of technology in business transformation will be invaluable as the executive team implements its new strategy for growth.”
Quarta was referring to a comprehensive turnaround plan the holding company unveiled last December to get back on track after several years of stagnancy.
Rose has been running Microsoft’s UK operation since 2016. Earlier, she served at Vodafone, Virgin Media and The Walt Disney Company.
