Dish Media has hired a new executive to lead the advertising sales team at its streaming video service Sling TV.
Dave Antonelli will lead ad strategy and sales for the streaming bundle, managing client services, direct and programmatic sales, operations and technology.
He will report to Dish Senior Vice President Kevin Arrix.
Antonelli most recently served as CRO of the data firm Cognitiv. Before that, he served in sales roles at SessionM, Viacom and LiveNation. Dish, like many of its competitors, is leaning on Sling to use advanced ad strategies to make up for the thin margins on its subscription service.
Separately, the popular digital publisher Uproxx named Adam Smith CRO. Smith will manage sponsorships, as well as partnerships and branding opportunities for the pop-culture publisher, acquired by Warner Music last year.
Smith previously served in senior sales roles at Conde Nast and Vevo.
