Donaton Jumping From Digitas To Hulu

Hulu has hired Scott Donaton to be its new head of creative.

Mostly recently, Donaton has served as Chief Content and Creative Officer at Publicis Groupe’s Digitas, where he led the agency's worldwide creative practice, which included the agency’s brand campaign, content, experience design and production capabilities.

He also served as head of content for The Americas for Publicis Media.

Donaton joins the streaming service in December and is tasked with expanding Hulu’s in-house creative and brand storytelling capabilities. He will also lead Hulu’s effort to design new creative advertising opportunities for brand clients.

Before joining Digitas, Donaton was Global Chief Content Officer at Interpublic Group’s UM and head of UM Studios.

Earlier, Donaton served as publisher of Entertainment Weekly, and before that was both publisher and editor of Advertising Age.

Donaton will report to CMO Kelly Campbell and will work closely with Peter Naylor, senior vice president-head of advertising sales. He will be based at Hulu headquarters in Santa Monica, CA.
