Fox Promotes Ad Executives, Expands Sports Advertising Sales

Fox Corp. has announced a number of advertising sales promotions -- as well as expanding executive ranks for its sports advertising sales.

Michael Falco is now moving to executive vice president, revenue management and strategy. Falco most recently was senior vice president, of sports sales, in recent years helping to drive higher sports ad revenue for the company.

In the last two years, Fox has seen seeing improving results from the “Thursday Night Football” in terms of viewership and revenue. MoffettNathanson Research says this year “TNF” posted gains of 24% in the average 30-second commercial unit to a price tag $540,090. Fox says that since it acquired the NFL “THF” package viewership in 2018, the football series has grown 6%.

Falco will report to Marianne Gambelli, president of advertising sales at Fox Corp.

Veteran digital entertainment sales executive David Borstein will be senior vice president, of digital and social sales -- a new position, in which he will oversee the digital strategy for both the sports and entertainment.

Borstein started with Fox three years ago as vice president of digital entertainment sales.

Dan Callahan has been promoted to senior vice president, of data strategy and sales innovation, as well as continuing to head Fox’s Audience Innovation Management (AIM) strategy.

In the new position, Callahan will manage digital relationships, video initiatives, and business development for the sports and entertainment sales teams.

In addition, Brian Nyemchek has been hired as senior vice president, of advertising sales. Previously he was at NBCUniversal Media for 12 years -- most recently serving as senior vice president, of NBC sports media sales.
