Ad Execs Say Physical And Mental Health Have Suffered During Pandemic

Months into the COVID-19 pandemic, a significant percentage of ad industry executives say their physical, mental and emotional health have deteriorated, but by and large, they are tracking about the same as average American consumers.

That's the finding of a survey of U.S. ad industry executives fielded by Advertiser Perceptions for MediaPost to understand the health toll the pandemic has taken on industry pros.

The chart above shows the results of the Advertiser Perceptions research, conducted May 4-11, with a similar nationally representative survey of Americans conducted by Ipsos from April 3-6.

While industry execs -- especially marketers -- indicate a higher degree of physical health deterioration than average Americans, the ad industry generally tracks the rest of America in terms of mental and emotional health, although agency pros index higher and marketers index lower in terms of getting worse.
