Customer engagement platform Astute has acquired Socialbakers,  a social media marketing firm. Terms were not disclosed, 

The combined services will allow global brands to manage research, content, engagement, social listening and VOC in a single SaaS platform, Astute claims. 

In addition, the arrangement will help brands deal with the blurred lines between customer care, the customer experience and marketing, states Mark Zablan, CEO of Astute.
