VanillaSoft Acquires Autoklose, B2B Email Automation Firm

Sales engagement software firm VanillaSoft has acquired Autoklose, an outbound email automation platform.

VanillaSoft will integrate Autoklose’s email campaign and cadence capabilities into its platform, providing it with additional email capability. Terms were not disclosed.

The combined tools will enable B2B sales teams to scale their personal email outreach to prospects and leads, VanillaSoft says. Depending on behavior and other variables, the leads can then be routed back into VanillaSoft for sales engagement, it adds.

One joint client, SalesRoads, is enthusiastic about the deal.

“For organizations in our industry, having access to a high-quality B2B database integrated with our sales engagement platform will be a game changer,” states David Kreiger, president of SalesRoads.

Michael Levy, principal at GZ Consulting, adds that the acquisition of Autoklose is “a smart, strategic move that enhances both its email capabilities and its B2B prospect intelligence.”

VanillaSoft is based in Plano, Texas. Its purchase of Autoklose, a Toronto startup, will increase the company’s footprint in Canada: It also has a presence in Gatineau, Quebec.

Autoklose now has 18 employees, adding to a total of 88 for the combined firms, the Ottawa Business Journal reports.

The company’s platform will be available as a stand-alone product, the Ottawa Business Journal says.

Last year, VanillaSoft received a $3-million capital investment from Quebec’s Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ Outaouais, according to the Ottawa Business Journal.
